Health Care Costs Continue to Increase

A 2,300 employee-employer group aimed for achieving a health plan cost reduction of $800,000 so they could provide a competitive employee health plan that incorporated a wellness program as well for its employees.

Using NavMD Plan Modeling, they were able to customize plans to incentivize better behaviors. They consolidated four different health plan options down to two plan options. One plan included a qualified high deductible health plan where the employer-provided contributions through a health savings account. A wellness program was offered to its members as well.

RESULT

After implementing the new plan changes and measuring the results the following year, the Employer was able to demonstrate the value of the wellness program and Doubled its Plan Savings Goal achieving $1,690,000 in savings from the previous plan year.
